Anyone interested in applying to be an event director for the upcoming season, here is the updated form to use.
As we tack up our horses at each event we attend, there is always the dreaded WARM UP PEN!! Be mindful while you are out warming up. Don’t change directions and go the opposite as the circle. When you are going to slow down, don’t just suddenly stop, warn the people behind you somehow. If everyone would be just a little considerate of others in the warm up pen, I bet half of the frustration could be avoided. Imagine if everyone had a POSITIVE experience in the warm up pen this weekend!! You will be called out of the arena if you are on your phone in the warm up arena.
Junior High Contestants that have competed in 4 or more rodeos are eligible to receive a free jacket from the MNHSRA for your efforts!! Please get your orders in by May 9th. The store will not be available online after that. You will receive your jacket at Finals in May.
Once you order your jacket, remind your friends to get theirs ordered too!! May 9th is LESS THAN 2 weeks away!!
This year, the fairgrounds is not allowing us to have horses on the south end of the fairgrounds. If you are penning out, please park according to the map. Region 1 will have people assisting in parking both weekends that we are there this spring.
We are just 3 short weeks away from our first rodeo. In order to participate, your spring academic form must be submitted to the national portal by April 29th. Here is a link to the forms in case you need to get it signed still. As of 04.07.23 two-thirds of the contestants still don’t have their spring academic form turned in, the weather is not great this week, lets get this crossed off the list this week!! Remember, in order to rodeo May 6-7, you need to turn your form in by April 29th. Please reach out if you need any assistance!!
Calling all Seniors!! Here is your scholarship packet with all of the information needed. They are due back by May 29th. NO late entries will be accepted so please see that they get in on time!!
